OM CUTAWAY — Torrefied Spruce/Granadillo

$9,500.00 USD (list price)
( Please contact me through the contact page for special price)

When I decided to attend the LaConner Guitar Festival I needed a guitar and this instrument was the result. The Torrefied Spruce top gives the guitar a very open voice with sensitivity. As many of you know the Torrefying process transforms the wood making it lighter and crisper, literally aging it, not to mention changing the colour to a beautiful golden honey.
For the back & sides I chose Flamed Granadillo. This is a beautiful tonewood which also happens to be terrific sounding as well.
For the scale length and nut width ( 25” and 1 3/4”) I chose dimensions that I would be comfortable with and which would suit most players.
Though I offer both the Ryan and Laskin style Arm bevels my trend has been towards the Ryan Style so that was what I opted for.
The Side Sound Port has been very popular and is now chosen on the majority of my builds making it an obvious choice to include it here.
This special sound hole design represents my first prototype of this style. Because I don’t use CNC I had to construct this design using old school methods and I am quite happy with the results. My plan is to expand on this design concept going forward while still offering the designs I’ve used in the past for those who prefer.

• Torrefied Sitka Spruce Top Wood
• Flamed Granadillo Back & Sides
• Ebony Bindings and Trim
• Ebony Fretboard & Bridge
• 25” Scale
• 1 3/4” Nut Width
• Ryan Style Arm Bevel
• Bound Side Sound Port
• Special Sound Hole Design
• Granadillo V Wedge in Head
• Bound Head & Fretboard
• TKL Arched top quality case
